These are the
wax castings of the handle body. It is hard to tell in the photo's but it is an exact fit
for my right hand. It has a wide flat area where your thumb is so that I can get 4 buttons
across the top and maybe two rows.
(no hats just individual buttons). There will also be finger buttons.
The wax casting gets put into a hard casting material and a two part mould is made. You
can see here that it is embedded into one half of the hard mould. The two part mould can
then be used to cast the handle shell in a very hard clear polymer compound. The clear
polymer handle will then have to be machined to fit the joystick handle and machined for
all the buttons. |
