Here is the
side view of the custom handle assembly. You can see the 3 finger buttons and you can also
see that the handle is an exact cast of my right hand. If you took a wad of clay and
squished it into your hand, that is kinda how this handle was formed. A wax model
was made and then a two part mold was made from the wax model. The handle was cast out of
a two part resin material. It is the same material that you see clear table tops and bar
top made out of.
At the top of the handle is the thumb button platform. You can see all the wires that go
to the buttons. They go down through the center of the handle and follow the brass pipe
down inside the gimball assembly.
At the bottom of the handle you can see 4 springs that pull the stick assembly back to
center position. I used big springs so they would not be over stressed like the stock
panther springs. |
