Next I set the circuit board assembly onto the red base assembly. I used a little clear silicon between the two to glue it into place, but not too much that I can't pull it apart   again. I will probably do something with the 5 switches later, but for now, I got to get fraggin. I will have to solder in a pair of wires to each switch on the mouse board. Those wires then go to an external switch on the outside of the panther shell. You can use a common ground for all the switches also.
Notes: The mouse circuit board sits over the top of the panther circuit board but it is far enough away from it that you don't need an insulator between the two boards. The red base assembly has enough thickness to it that it keeps the two boards far enough away from each other.
I ran the mouse cord out a new hole right next to the main Panther cord. The two cords are   close together and could even be wired tied together if you wanted to. I melted a U shaped hole in the edge of the panther case. The gooey plastic can be trimmed up with a razor blade/exacto knife. If you have a dremel, use it.
Notice the direction the board is facing. This is the correct way to place it so that your left/right is correct on the trackball. The rudder connector hole is on the left side of the picture.
