It's kinda hard to see
in the photo on the left, so I enhanced the parts in the photo on the right.
The brace is a piece of 1/8" thick epoxy board that I use at my business to build
hand wired tube amp circuit boards. It has been angled so it does not get in the way
of the hat switch circuit board. It has also been notched out in a half circle so it wraps
around the rear screw support.
The brace is epoxied in 3 places, at the two front switch supports and the rear
screw support. The handle housing has been reinforced with epoxy also because the switch
supports cracked and would not hold the switch upright.
The epoxy I used is the stuff that looks like a giant hypodermic with a double barrel. You
can buy it at any hardware store. This stuff sets up in 15 minutes and stays more flexible
than JB weld. |
